Over the last few months I’ve been putting in a lot of extra work on my blogs and am now just starting to see the results. It can often take at least a few months before you’re rewarded for the work that you put into your online business and it’s important not to give up too early.
We’ll get down to exactly what I’ve been doing to earn this income in a minute but first let’s have a quick look at the stats for September 2016.
Amazon CPM – $159.13
Ezoic.com – $52.68
YouTube Channels – $8.62
Total: $220.43 (Up $158.28 from last month)
While there’s still a long way to go it’s good to see that there has been good growth this month. Not every month is going to be up, and some months may see a slight decrease but on the whole I’m happy with the progress so far and looking forward to bringing my income up into the four figure range as soon as possible.
So what have I been doing? I’ve been working on my biggest website which currently brings in about 90% of my income. I’ve been adding new articles, about 30 or so per month, and creating videos to promote my website on YouTube while also bringing in a little bit of YouTube income.
I’ve created a new website in the auto industry that I hope will be bringing in some money by the end of the year. At the moment I haven’t even bothered putting advertising on the website as I like to wait until I’m getting at least 5,000 views per month.
Usually once per month I’ll outsource some link building. This can include writing and submitting a press release or posting a number of articles on blogs and web 2.0 websites. This is a slow process and I expect the authority of my websites to grow slowly over time.
